Our organization is composed of diverse, nonprofit, mission-driven members focused on delivering home-delivered and congregate meals, nutrition education, and food access programs. We strive to ensure that seniors have the necessary resources to maintain a healthier and improved quality of life in their own homes.

Kevin is the Deputy Director for the Putnam County Office of Senior Resources. A long-time nutrition professional who worked his way up from a dishwasher to eventually lead nutrition programs in 2 different counties, Kevin has worked his way through the nutrition field.
From a culinary arts degree to a two-year stint at fine dining in Zermatt Switzerland, and back to golf course executive chef, Kevin cut his teeth in the culinary scene. After a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and a master’s degree in healthcare administration, Kevin has moved out of the kitchen. Now devoted to providing some of the neediest with nutritional support, Kevin loves what he does and is dedicated to helping others stay healthy through nutrition.
Kevin lives in Mahopac, NY with two teenage boys, a dog, and an amazing wife.

Jennifer Covert is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Eastern Onondaga County (MOWEOC), and Vice President of Meals on Wheels of New York State. For more than 15 years she has devoted her career to supporting and advocating for vulnerable populations. As Executive Director of MOWEOC, she brings a heartfelt commitment to ensuring that every person we serve feels seen, valued, and cared for. Her work is grounded in the belief that a meal delivered with kindness can make someone’s entire day — and sometimes change the course of their week.
In addition to her local leadership, Jennifer serves as Vice President of the New York State Meals on Wheels Association. In this statewide role, she helps bring programs together, shares best practices, and advocates for the resources needed to ensure older adults across New York can age with dignity and connection.
Outside of work, Jennifer loves music and enjoys spending time with her family and three dogs.

Margaret Schweizer is the Director of Meals On Wheels in Monroe County, New York, and has been with the program for 18 years. She is passionate about ensuring older adults and individuals with disabilities have access to nutritious meals and supportive services that help them remain independent at home. Margaret works closely with staff, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen and grow services for the community.

Jeanette is the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Citymeals on Wheels, where she leads policy efforts to end hunger among older adults in New York City. She has spent over 14 years working towards social and economic justice through roles in research, advocacy, and fundraising. Most recently, she served as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at FPWA, leading anti-poverty policy research and analysis on aging services, safety net benefits, the criminalization of poverty, caregiving, wage equity for the human service sector, and universal healthcare. Before joining FPWA, she was a researcher at the Center for an Urban Future where she directed projects on economic and workforce development issues across the five boroughs. Prior to that, Jeanette undertook pre-development research and planning as the Morgan Stanley/ANHD Community Development Fellow based at WHEDco; managed foundation grants at Amnesty International USA; and was the membership manager at Lambda Legal. Jeanette received her MS in Urban Policy Analysis and Management at The New School and her BA in Philosophy from Bard College.

Collin Bishop is the chief communications officer for FeedMore WNY and has more than two decades of experience in broadcast journalism and managing news departments. His work has won a New York State Emmy, national and regional Edward R. Murrow awards, and a Promax Gold for writing. In addition to serving on the Meals on Wheels for New York State Board, Bishop is the president-elect of the Public Relations Society of America's Buffalo Niagara chapter.
Katie Boland

Katie Boland is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Chemung County. She has been with the organization for almost 5 years. She comes from a background in Food & Beverage graduating from Niagara University with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. She first learned about Meals on Wheels from her great aunt Caroline, who was one of the founding members of MOWCC. She was “forced” to start volunteering at a very early age with her favorite women.
Before joining MOW, Katie was good friends with the former Director Darlene and often held meatloaf and lasagna suppers in her restaurant to raise money to help Darlene feed the Seniors in our county. She has real passion for feeding people.
Aly Evans
Foodnet Meals on Wheels

Aly Evans, a veteran leader in the mission-driven sector, serves as the Executive Director of Foodnet Meals on Wheels in Tompkins County, a position she stepped into after serving on the Foodnet Board.
She is very active in the local community holding various roles: board member of the Rotary Club of Ithaca, Chair of the Tompkins Chamber, member of the Executive Exchange of Tompkins County, the Women’s Fund Advisory Committee-Community Foundation TC and is active with the United Way of TC. She is a board member of the Care Compass Collaborative, the New York State Meals on Wheels State Association and a member of the Meals on Wheels Research Advisory Committee and is a graduate of the Health Leadership Fellows program sponsored by the Health Foundation of Western and Central New York.
Aly lives in Richford, New York with her husband of 35 years and is the mother of two adult children and a proud Neena of 3.5 grandkids and one grand pup.
Beth Fricano
Meals on Wheels of Syracuse

Dr. Hurny-Fricano has over 20 years of experience managing nonprofit organizations in the Syracuse area. She received a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Cornell University, a Master's degree in Social Work from Syracuse University, and a Doctorate of Education (Executive Leadership) from St. John Fisher University. She has spent her entire professional career serving our communities' most vulnerable populations. Most recently, at ARISE Child and Family Services, Inc. where she served on the senior leadership team as Director of Clinical Services. Prior to joining ARISE, Dr. Hurny-Fricano served as Executive Director for Prevention Network focusing on social care needs of those struggling with mental health and substance use issues. With her extensive experience in the Human Services field, she is now looking forward to completing the circle of support for food insecurity and socialization through the Power of a Knock with the Meals on Wheels mission.

Sharon Martini

Sharon Martini is a passionate advocate for her community, dedicating her life to service, inclusivity, and making a positive impact. Her commitment to giving back has been evident since childhood, and she has continually embodied these values through her extensive volunteer work. Over the years, Sharon has led initiatives as a Girl Scout leader, served as a classroom parent for her children, and was a youth leader at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was also actively involved with the Nanuet and Beyond board. Her participation in Leadership Rockland’s Class of 2017 further fueled her dedication to community service.
With a strong background in operations within the home health care industry and corporate restaurant management, Sharon brought her passion and expertise to Meals on Wheels of Rockland County in 2013. She initially held various roles, developing a deep understanding of the needs of older adults and those facing food insecurity. She was later promoted to Director of Home Delivered Meals, overseeing daily operations, volunteer coordination, social work, and transportation.
Since 2022, Sharon has served as the Director of Development and Community Engagement for Meals on Wheels Rockland. In this role, she leverages her energy and compassion to engage private donors, corporate partners, and community organizations. Her efforts have led to increased funding, innovative programs, and stronger partnerships that expand services for seniors and vulnerable populations. Recognized nationally, Sharon has spoken at Meals on Wheels America’s conventions, sharing best practices and inspiring others.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon’s community involvement includes volunteer work with local schools, scouting groups, and her church. Her unwavering dedication has earned her numerous awards, such as the PTA Lifetime Award, the George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award, and the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award. Through her leadership and heart, Sharon continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals across Rockland County. She currently sits on the boards of Leadership Rockland Alumni, Rockland Business Women’s Network and Meals on Wheels New York State Association.
Barrie Yochim
Meals on Wheels of the Jamestown Area

Barrie Yochim has served as Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of the Jamestown Area, in Chautauqua County, since 1999. He is a twice past president, and past vice president, of Meals on Wheels Association New York. He is a past board member for Feedmore WNY. Currently at Feedmore, Barrie is still the co-chairman of the NextGen Committee, formerly the Programs and Services Committee. He is also currently a member of Chautauqua Leadership Network, where he most recently served as chairman of its Network Development Committee, and previously served as chair of its Public Relations Committee, as a member on its Strategic Planning Committee, and a member of its Board of Directors. In addition, he has given numerous presentations on topics related to organizational and interpersonal leadership – especially for nonprofits.
From 1994 to 1999, Barrie served as Director of Communications with United Way of Southern Chautauqua County – where he was founder and first chairman of United Way’s Statewide Marketing and Communications Task Force for New York State.
Barrie unsuccessfully ran for New York State assembly in 2014, representing Chautauqua County, but happily appreciated every one of the 8,622 votes which were cast for him.
His first job out of college was as Cattaraugus County Bureau Chief for the Jamestown Post-Journal. Barrie is a graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, with a degree in Sports Communication and Journalism. He currently serves as the Marietta Delt Educational Foundation’s Fundraising Chairman, and as a member of its Board of Directors. Barrie and his wife, Julie, reside in Ashville and have two grown daughters – Emilie and Madelyn.
